Directed and produced by the visionary Mrs. Shavonne Davis, this powerful play captured the incredible journey of Harriet Tubman—from her challenging childhood to her courageous efforts as an abolitionist, guiding others to freedom on the Underground Railroad.

Through captivating storytelling and expressive performances, the play invites audiences to experience Harriet Tubman’s strength and resolve in the face of adversity. Adding to the emotional depth of the performance, Harriet: Take My Hand and Follow Me features powerful renditions of classic songs like “Go Tell It on the Mountain” and “Little Horses.” These soulful pieces, brought to life by talented young performers, enrich the narrative with music that speaks to the trials, hope, and triumph of Harriet’s journey. Alongside the storytelling, dynamic dance sequences and choreography convey the joy and sorrow woven into Harriet’s life, honoring her legacy through every movement and note.
